About us

We enjoyed having a record of our South East Asia trip, back in 2010/11, so much that we decided to keep it going. In 2014, we headed for the US and South America. We saw spaceships, sandy beaches, ancient ruins and massive mountains.

Then, in 2016, the Brexit referendum happened. We woke up on 24 June wondering whether we recognised the country we grew up in. Watching the increasingly unpleasant political rhetoric, with the Government taking a page out of Trump’s ‘feelings not facts’ playbook, these two Remoaners decided to run away and be the global citizens we hope to stay. We arrived back towards the end of 2017 refreshed, renewed and ready to fight for a country we want to live in.

2020 brought the whole world Covid and any travel thoughts were obviously put on hold. We worked damn hard both before, during and after the pandemic, but still had some great adventures to Greece, Salt Lake City, LA, Whitby, Sevilla, Penzance and a mad long weekend in Melbourne along with Allan’s champions league adventures to Paris, Milan and Dortmund. But when Chloe’s redundancy was coming, it made us think of resurrecting big travel plans.

2025 brings us Hardcow travels Spieltag IV that will include some familiar places including the wonderful Gallifrey One, Hoi An and Athens, but there will be some entirely new places including Japan and Albania.

In the meantime, don’t think we don’t know just how lucky we are…

  1. Did we discuss that my daughter and I were at the Women’s football final? We too were amused at 80,000 people booing Sepp Blatter. We were also completely smashed as started drinking at lunchtime.
Like the hummingbird, more animals and less chat pelase.
